I’ve been driving around with a dying battery for the past two weeks and honestly I’ve been pushing my luck because every morning it cranks a little slower and I keep telling myself I’ll sort it out tomorrow, but tomorrow never comes until you’re sitting in a parking lot with a dead car and a bunch of annoyed people waiting for your spot. I live in Jumeirah Village Triangle and I’ve noticed a few of the local garages around here seem to stock Volcan batteries, which I hadn’t really heard much about until I started asking around, but apparently they’re becoming pretty popular because they offer decent quality without the premium price tag that comes with the bigger international brands. A friend of mine who runs a small transport company told me he switched to Volcan for his fleet and hasn’t had any major issues, which is a pretty solid endorsement considering how hard his drivers are on those vehicles. I did a bit of searching online and came across a mention of being able to find a Volcan car battery at competitive prices in Jumeirah Village Triangle, which sounds exactly like what I need since I don’t want to drive all the way to the industrial areas if I can avoid it. Has anyone here actually used one of these batteries in their personal car and can tell me how they hold up during the summer months when the heat really starts cooking everything under the hood? I’m not expecting it to last as long as a premium brand, but if I can get a couple of good years out of it without spending a fortune then I’d be perfectly happy with that. I just don’t want to end up with something that dies after six months because I tried to save a few dirhams, so any honest feedback from people who’ve actually put some miles on these things would be really helpful before I make a decision.
